Terms of Service

Last updated: May 1, 2026

Welcome to Quant. By using the app, you agree to these terms. Please read them.

1. What Quant Is (and Isn't)

Quant is a social platform for discussing stocks, tracking market news, and sharing investment ideas with other users. We provide tools to follow market movements, explore publicly available market data and financial disclosures, and engage with a community of investors.

Important: Quant is not a financial advisor, broker, or investment service. We don't manage money, execute trades, or provide personalized investment advice. Everything on Quant — posts, price targets, sentiment polls, trading data — is for informational and entertainment purposes only.

2. Not Investment Advice

Nothing on Quant should be taken as investment advice. User posts, predictions, leaderboards, and any other content are opinions and should not be relied upon when making financial decisions. Stock prices can go down as well as up, and you could lose money.

Do your own research before investing, or consult a qualified financial advisor. Past performance of any user, stock, or strategy discussed on Quant doesn't predict future results.

We display data from publicly available sources, including government disclosures and market data providers. While we aim to keep it accurate, we can't guarantee it's complete or error-free. Verify anything important through official sources.

Leaderboard rankings and performance statistics shown on Quant are for entertainment purposes only. They do not constitute a verified investment track record. A user's past performance on Quant is not indicative of future results and should never be used as a basis for making investment decisions.

Quant is not registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), or any other federal or state financial regulatory authority. Quant does not operate as a broker-dealer, investment adviser, securities exchange, or alternative trading system. Nothing on this platform constitutes a solicitation to buy or sell any security.

3. Your Account

You're responsible for keeping your account secure. Don't share your login credentials. If you think someone has accessed your account without permission, contact us right away.

You must be at least 16 years old to use Quant. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Accounts that violate these terms or harm the community can be suspended or permanently closed.

4. Community Guidelines

Quant works because of its community. To keep it that way:

  • Be respectful to other users, even when you disagree
  • Don't post spam, scams, or misleading content
  • Don't artificially inflate engagement or manipulate sentiment
  • Don't post content intended to artificially inflate or deflate the price of any security
  • Don't coordinate buying or selling activity to manipulate a stock's price — pump-and-dump schemes are prohibited
  • Don't make false or misleading statements about any company, security, or other user
  • Don't impersonate other people or organizations
  • Don't post illegal content or encourage illegal activity
  • Don't harass, threaten, or bully other users

We may remove content or restrict accounts that break these rules. Repeated violations will result in a permanent ban. Violations involving potential market manipulation may be reported to relevant authorities.

5. Your Content

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting on Quant, you give us a license to display, distribute, and promote your content within the app and for marketing purposes.

You're responsible for what you post. Don't share content that infringes on someone else's intellectual property, contains private information about others without consent, or violates any laws.

6. Data and Privacy

We collect and use your data as described in our Privacy Policy. Using Quant means you agree to that.

We take security seriously, but no system is perfect. Don't share sensitive financial information — like brokerage credentials or account numbers — through Quant.

7. Third-Party Services

Quant pulls in data from third-party sources for market data, news, and other features. Those services have their own terms and policies. We're not responsible for their content, accuracy, or availability.

Links to external websites are provided for convenience only. We don't control or endorse content on those sites.

Some data displayed on Quant — including government trade disclosures, SEC filings, and other official records — is sourced from publicly available government databases and official disclosure portals. This data is aggregated and displayed for informational and entertainment purposes only. Quant does not claim ownership of public government data and does not commercially redistribute it.

8. Subscriptions and Billing

Quant offers optional paid subscription plans — Premium and Pro — that unlock additional features including AI-powered analysis, signal scanning, stock comparison, and bundle creation. The core app remains free to use.

Subscription plans and pricing:

  • Premium Monthly: $7.99 per month
  • Premium Annual: $79.99 per year
  • Pro Monthly: $14.99 per month
  • Pro Annual: $149.99 per year

Prices may vary by country or region and are displayed in your local currency at the time of purchase.

Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Your Apple ID will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

Free trials: If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the trial will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Cancellation: You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time through your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access to premium features until that date.

Refunds: Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their standard App Store refund policy. Quant does not issue refunds directly.

9. Availability and Changes

We'll keep Quant running as reliably as we can, but we can't promise 100% uptime. The app may be down for maintenance or due to things outside our control.

We may update features or these terms over time. If the changes are significant, we'll give you notice through the app. Continuing to use Quant after that means you accept the updated terms.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Quant and its team from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the app; (b) content you post; (c) your violation of these terms; or (d) your violation of any third party's rights.

11. Limitation of Liability

Quant is provided "as is." We don't warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any information on it will be accurate.

Quant and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. This includes financial losses from investment decisions made based on content you saw here.

12. Arbitration and Disputes

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of Quant will be resolved through binding individual arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in New York, NY. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking emergency injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction where necessary to prevent irreparable harm.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

14. Copyright (DMCA)

If you believe content on Quant infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice to our designated agent registered with the U.S. Copyright Office (Registration No. DMCA-1071676). Email your notice to contact@quantapphq.com and include: (1) identification of the copyrighted work; (2) identification of the infringing material and where it appears on Quant; (3) your contact information; (4) a statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner; (5) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner; and (6) your physical or electronic signature. Counter-notices may be submitted to the same address.
